Roseburia is a beneficial bacteria that is found deep inside the colon. Roseburia creates butyric acid, a short-chain fatty acid that helps to decrease inflammation and acts as a food source for other beneficial bacteria in your gut. Some health benefits of Roseburia are that it improves biodiversity in your gut, boosts your tolerance to glucose, helps you maintain a healthy weight and helps with cellular repair in the colon. If you suffer from IBS, or symptoms of IBS low levels of Roseburia could be to blame. Roseburia cannot be directly put into probiotic supplements with current technology, but there is a lot you can do to boost existing levels.
